Worth Savoring

$1,625.00 USD

The objects we treasure are rarely extraordinary. We simply decide they are worth preserving.

A historical sovereign balances an antique porcelain teacup and saucer upon her head, crowned not with jewels but with delicate pink petit fours. Together they transform an everyday ritual into an emblem of cultural memory.

Part of the Slow Beauty exhibition, Worth Savoring considers how ordinary pleasures become extraordinary through repetition, ritual, and affection. Afternoon tea, shared conversation, treasured china, and small confections have long marked moments of celebration, hospitality, and pause. Though fleeting in experience, they endure in memory.

By placing these familiar objects where a crown should be, the sculpture quietly reframes luxury—not as extravagance, but as attention. The things we choose to celebrate, collect, and pass down become the artifacts of everyday life.

It asks a simple question:

What, in your own life, is worth savoring?
