Every generation chooses its own symbols of power.
What once represented authority can, over time, become something entirely new. The Crown We Choose transforms a pink party hat into an unexpected crown, inviting viewers to reconsider the symbols through which identity, confidence, and cultural values are expressed.
Working in hand-cast plaster, the sculpture pairs one of history's most recognizable monarchs with an object rooted in contemporary life, suggesting that power is never contained within the object itself—it emerges from the meaning we collectively assign to it. Playful in appearance yet layered in implication, The Crown We Choose reflects on the evolving nature of authority and reminds us that every generation inherits its icons, but also chooses how they will be seen.
